A Grainline Archer

After a few months break, I am sewing again!

I bought this pattern well over a year ago, and last summer I cut out the pieces and after a few seams, put it away.

Over the February Family Day long weekend this year, I took it out and had it finished within two days (and then it still takes this long to post!!)

I used an article from an old issue of Threads magazine, to give me ideas for using different fabrics.

I picked these shirting fabrics up from a cross border shopping trip to Joanne's in Buffalo a few years ago.

I must say I am really happy with the outcome and got plenty of comments when I wore it to work one Friday.

There will be more Archers. I am thinking of a Chambray one and I have a nice navy and white Stripe which I might use to make a sleeveless version.

  1. Hi Debbie! Nice to see you, and what a great looking Archer. I love the contrast pieces, they look very chic.

    1. Thanks Chloe. It is one my favorite items to wear at the moment.

  2. Looks great! I like the little hidden (and not so hidden) details of the mix of prints.

  3. Thanks Seraphinalina. it was fun planning which fabric to use where.
